Being
part of the Memorial Union Program Council is a wonderful opportunity
to learn event-planning skills, meet new people, make connections,
build leadership skills, and have fun!
MUPC is
a student-run organization that thrives on creativity, teamwork
and positive energy. An elected president and vice-president
and five paid directors and their volunteer committees make
their home in Memorial Union 103.MUPC presents
well over 100 events each year, including major events like
Mom’s and Dad’s Weekend, Battle of the Bands,
Free World Music Festival and Women’s Leadership Conference.Add lectures,
movies, concerts, comedy shows, a fashion show, and a children’s
party and other fun spontaneous happenings, like pumpkin carving
and Benny Beaver’s Birthday Celebration.Place: The Memorial Union Program Council makes its home in the Memorial
Union (MU 103), the living room of the campus, where it thrives
on creativity, teamwork and positive energy. Why: MUPC is the largest programming body on the OSU campus producing
over a hundred events each year: movies, concerts, Mom’s
and Dad’s Weekends, Women’s Leadership Conference,
Children’s Holiday Party, The Battle of the Bands, and
the FREE World Music Concert and more.
Mission: MUPC’s mission is to bring OSU Beavers together
by upholding and creating traditions while generating enthusiasm
and a welcoming spirit. We strive to produce remarkable events
and have a great time doing it!
