My name is Sara Westfall and I have been employed in food service at the Memorial Union for three years, while working at the restaurant, Pangea. I have been blessed with many unique opportunities that have changed my college experience for the better. The staff I have worked with have become some of my closest friends and although we make a very effective team we are also able to make work a fun place to be. I will never forget the relationships that I have formed with my fellow employees.

The Memorial Union is the “living room” of Oregon State University. Students come together here to hang out, have lunch, or attend events. It seems that the purpose of the Memorial Union is to meet the everyday needs of the students and in spirit it will remain in the souls of Oregon State students forever. Whether going to the Friday night big screen movies, meeting friends for lunch, or taking a nap upstairs on the couches between classes students will always have their memories from the time they spent in the Memorial Union. It is a place full of good times and good memories.

Food service at the Memorial Union is known for its excellent quality. When people come into Pangea I know that I am upholding the good name of the Memorial Union by being giving the opportunity to serve my fellow students and staff. I always have a smile on my face and do my best to encourage others to do the same.

It is hard to believe but this is my last year as a student of Oregon State University. It makes me sad to think about leaving all of the fiends and staff that I have met here and heave helped broaden my experience working in the Memorial Union. Although it is sad I know I will always have the experiences and great memories to look back on.
