OSU Memorial Union Sound Permit
- Do I need a sound permit?
Sound permits are required for any outdoor event using amplified sound. Amplified sound is defined as sound played for anything other than personal listening.
- How long can I have amplified sound?
During academic hours (M-F 7am to 5pm) sound is limited to 2 consecutive hours. After academic hours time is limited to hours listed on permit.
- How much do the permits cost?
There is no charge for the permit.
- Do I need a city permit too?
No. The OSU permit takes care of both the city and campus requirement.
- How do I fill out a permit?
1) fill out the PDF 
2) Email it to MU.eventservices@oregonstate.edu
Permits must be received 14 days prior to event dates. Late permits will not be accepted.
