Lois Miller of Port Orford and Kimberly Wurster of Coquille. Kimberly is known for her International award winning paintings of birds and landscape. Lois is known for her award winning photography of birds and wildlife. The Audubon Society frequently uses Lois's photos to illustrate their articles. She is also highly respected as a professional birder. She is represented by Point B Studio of Port Orford. Kimberly is represented by Select Art Gallery of North Bend. "Raptor", an award winning acrylic painting by Kimberly of a Red-shouldered Hawk, is currently featured in the August/September issue of International Artist Magazine. The winning paintings each received full page coverage and worldwide publicity. The contest results may be viewed at www.internationalartist.com.

Since the founding of the University Theatre, donations have been made to the costume shop. The gallery cases contain costume pieces that have been constructed or built (theatre parlance for making and sewing a costume) and “real” clothing that has been donated to the OSU Theatre Department over the decades. Oftentimes, an item is too fragile to put on stage, but they can use the original item as a template for a design. In this display, there are clothing items (aka “real clothes”) that date back to the turn of the nineteenth century. Costume history is a part of the discipline known as Social History--what people wore, their furniture, architecture, and amusements including literature and going to the theatre. The history of clothing is the history of a society.

Ted Ernst, Sandy Segna, Kanani Bowden, Jeff Richards, Lynda Farmer, Dennis Staats, Leslie Green, Keith Moses, Hank Grzeskowiak, Dale Pillsbury, Jan Dymond, Sam Hoffman, Laurie Childers and her students.

One of several month-long exhibits celebrating 30 years of ceramics at LBCC’s Benton Center.

Skuja Braden
SUPERCROCK: Collaborative Sculptural Ceramics
March 8-April 24, 2008 ~ Memorial Union Concourse Gallery

Skuja Braden is the pseudonym and combined names of the International collaborative team Inguna Skuja from Latvia, and Melissa Braden from Sacramento, California. They began working together in February of 1999 and have continued to work together since that time. They both work on every aspect of the sculptural design and form together. The very process of their collaborative creating gives their work an extremely individualized and unique character. Skuja Braden's work can be found in private collections and museums in Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, United Kingdom, and throughout the United States.
